What is honeycomb paper packaging?
Honeycomb paper is a 3D-structured paper cushion made from kraft paper glued into a honeycomb pattern. It traps air between layers, expanding on demand to protect goods in transit — a recyclable, plastic-free alternative to bubble wrap and air pillows.
What is the difference between honeycomb paper and buffer paper?
Buffer paper is the flat or lightly crimped kraft paper used to wrap and fill voids. Honeycomb paper is the expanded, air-cell version used for cushioning and blocking. HuanCheer manufactures both and often combines them in one pack.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Standard roll widths can ship by the carton for sampling. Custom widths typically start at 1–3 pallets, and die-cut pads at roughly 1,000–5,000 pieces. There is no mould investment — only a low-cost cutting die for die-cut formats.
Are your products FSC certified?
Yes. HuanCheer offers FSC-certified honeycomb and buffer paper, with recycled kraft grades available. Certificates are verifiable on the issuing registry, and we provide mill traceability on request.
Can you produce custom sizes and ply counts?
Yes. We custom-slitting widths in-house and offer 2-ply, 3-ply and 4-ply honeycomb paper. Ply count is matched to your product weight and fragility based on a drop test.
Do you provide samples?
Yes, paid samples of the exact ply and format ship within days for roll formats, so you can run your own drop test before committing to a production order.
What is the lead time for production orders?
Lead time depends on whether the width is standard or custom, printing requirements and raw-material stock — typically a few weeks plus freight. Contact us with your specs for a firm quote.
Is honeycomb paper recyclable and biodegradable?
Yes. Kraft honeycomb and buffer paper are recyclable in the standard paper stream and are biodegradable/compostable, making them suitable for markets with EPR fees and PPWR-aligned requirements.
